Retro?

My feet feel clean.
My feet feel nice.

My mom&I went for a pedicure right after school again. I like my toes :) Before I started going for pedicures my toenails sucked but now, they suck less.

It was study time for me&Jaryn on the floor outside the auditorium cause both of us didn't bring our PE clothes. Mr. Nathan was the man in charge.
Adrian's legs are sooo soo hairy! I saw these huge wigs of hair peeking out of the bottom of his pants. He's nice though. He let me help him with Sejarah :)

A really long update.

Hi :) I got back a few hours ago. Sri Lanka is Great. Definitely not what I expected. The people there are so damn nice that strangers come up to me saying "Hello, how are you?" They speak pretty good English - if you minus that accent of theirs. But people kept asking my mom, "Is she your baby?" (she referring to me.) Do I look like a baby to you? I don't think so.

20/09/2009WOKE UP at 4 in the freaking morning to catch the plane. Slouched around until the taxi came to pick us up. My dad was yapping away to the driver (he was a really huge man) for 45 minutes straight. His excuse was so the driver didn't fall asleep.

Finally arrive in Sri Lanka after 3 hours in the plane & go for a tour of Negombo town with Joseph (He's the guy that took us around Sri Lanka for 3 days.)
Drying fish out on the beach.
Some guy showed us what he caught.
At Saint Anne's church.
When we get back to the hotel, I kong out from lack of sleep for the next 13 hours. This was at 5.30pm. I missed the sunset by the beach & didn't get to eat dinner :(
21/09/2009
JOSEPH takes us on a 3 hour drive to Sigiriya. It's this gigantic place where the King of Ceylon used to live with his Queen & 500 concubines.
The sky is like this every-freaking-day.There used to be paintings of each and every concubine all over the rock dating back to the 13th century. Only 18 are left now.Almost at the top.
Down the spiral staircase.Sigiriya is literally just a huge rock but the climb up (over a thousand steps) is exhaustingly awesome. The view is beyond the beyond from the top.

ANOTHER 3 hour drive to Kandy. It reminds me of Cameron Highlands - Bollywood style. We stopped for some tea at a cafe up the hill. & I found a leech sucking on my foot while taking pictures of the view. I got all girly&squeamish, kicking my foot around trying to get it off. Not one of my best moments.
That's Joseph.
The Vanity table in our room. All the furniture were antiques.
Yam cha out on the balcony in the 'lobby'. The hotel is actually a really big house with 4 rooms for guests. Small little Salika Inn. My dad has been rambling about how good the dinner that night was for the past 4 days. They have Jackfruit Curry!

23/09/2009

The view outside my window in the morning.
The blue building is the Salika Inn.Streets of Kandy.ANOTHER 3 hour drive to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka. We stop by this Tea Factory on the way. Dusty&hot inside. The guide told us that you need 5 kilos of tea leaves to make 1 kilo of dried tea :D & the tea leaf plucker (?) wanted us to pay her 100 rupees just because we took a picture with her. Smart woman.

Reach Cinnamon Grand Hotel & say our byebyes to Joseph.
Took a few swigs of my dad's drinks & ate seafood for dinner. The guy that waited our table had THE greenest eyes I had ever seen. I jakun the whole night as if he had three heads.

24/09/2009

WE walk for 2 hours but ride a tuk-tuk back to the hotel. We asked the driver what was good about Colombo & he said,

"Nothing."

Cause Colombo was like any other city in the world. He was really honest about that. Ate German food for dinner. Heh. Dark German Beer tastes good :)

25/09/2009DRIVE around with Niranjan as our new guide around the city. His arms are weird cause with every word that escapes his face (?) his hands wiggle around making gestures in the air. He told my dad that he had a son a month younger than me. He's really friendly though. He brought us to see Pettah & some temple which I forgot what it's name was. But it was built in the 3rd century & apparently, Buddha visited it before.
Then 3 tiny puppies attacked my feet. Looks like the mayors house from Powerpuff Girls right right??Yam cha at Galle-something hotel. I ate 123456789 shrimps from the buffet :)26/09/2009

WOKE UP at 5.30am to catch the plane back home. Left at 6am so we didn't get to have any breakfast :( I was so hungry when we boarded the plane.
There are too many security checks in the airport.

1. on the way into the airport.
2. at the entrance of the building.
3. after passing through immigration.
4. before boarding the plane.

I had to be checked 4 times in total cause the beeping thing kept beeping.

Now that I'm back home, I've got my gaytard dog at my feet begging me to give him some bread. It's been a long LONG day. School is starting on Monday so I've got one more day of lazing around left. Goodnight everyone :)
