I got hit in the head with a volleyball

Photo taken with Amanda's DSLR last Friday after everyone snuck out of Art class a few minutes before the bell rang. I was tagged on Facebook so where better to showcase this than here? This was of course before Jie Yao's second drastic haircut.

Speaking of classmates, the boys and I filled latex gloves with water in the Science lab. They looked like condoms. Just saying. Whole bunch of us were laughing at the back of the class cause the fingers kept expanding and contracting which resembled...you know. Dirty minds think alike.

PS: Olney's coming to visit tomorrow after school! Get your cameras ready.
PPS: I say get your cameras ready cause at WorldStage there was this girl trying to get a picture of his back thinking no one would notice. We noticed. You see, tall white guys + little asian girls always mix well.

Just The Way You Are; Bruno Mars

I don't like homework. Especially if they involve Sejarah or BM. I just had to finish a set each of Sejarah & BM papers with a total of 140 questions. I can't wait to get PMR over with and start O-Levels next year. At least their History lesson is in English and it's not about some Malay guy fighting for the rite to collect taxes on a river. I'm not even sure if I'm going to take History next year or of what else I'm taking or what I want to be. Of course I've drifted from one cita-cita to the next but I'm not grounded on what I want my career to be or what line of work I want to be involved with. I did want to be a nurse (back when dinosaurs still roamed the earth) but I found out that you have to sponge-bath old people and deal with blood so that dream was flushed down the drain along with the other poo-ey ideas. When I went for the Japan exchange program in Form 1 (2008), Misaki (my host) took me to the aquarium which had this awesome dolphin show. For a split second I thought of becoming a dolphin trainer but the thought of smelling like fish everyday wasn't very pleasing. I do know what I don't want to be though. I don't want to be a doctor (anything that requires me to slice someone open actually), an engineer, a lawyer, a ballerina (as if I'm capable) or a business manager.

PS: You're amazing just the way you are
& when you smile the whole world stops and stares for a while
PPS: Shutup I'm not in love. I just really like the song :)

Zombie Bombs

I've been all over the place today. From shopping in Times Square getting a scoop-neck white lace crop-top (even saying that gets me giggly. I'll just leave it to your imagination to how it looks like) to visiting my grandma all the way in Kepong to borrow my uncle's stick-shift Proton for Nick to practice his driving, having the best pineapple tart in my life at O'Pappa on the way to visit my other grandma, eating at Elfresco for the second night in a row in Empire, laughing obnoxiously in the Korean food aisle about zombie bombs (which are surprisingly un-Plants vs. Zombies-related), stocking up on more microwave popcorn, imitating that Chef At Home guy's over-enthusiastic accent with my brother and falling in love with puddles of poodles the size of my serving of aglio olio pasta to buying a dozen bottles of wine at Denise for 70% off just cause we can.

That's right. I know how to sum up my entire day in a single sentence/paragraph without over-doing the details.

Japanese boys

As usual when any foreign, decent-looking guy comes along, almost all the girls swarm (including me) throwing their hormones at him. They put a fist-full of estrogen into tiny drawstring biodegradable bags and throw it at him hoping he'll notice their names written in size42 block letters with a black Sharpie permanent marker. Most of the time, he won't notice cause he's too busy befriending the guys but it's worth a shot. I say this because there was a cute Japanese boy (you know which one I'm talking about) that came to visit today for the Student Exchange Program between Sri Kuala Lumpur and Fukuoka Okazaki Junior High School.
This is all I brought to school today. No bag. No books. It was odd walking into school without anything over my shoulders. We were in the auditorium till 10-ish and the rest of the day was filled of iPods/iPhones under tables in class and getting the boys to buy bubble tea for us cause we females melt in the rain.
My tie-dye from art class. Got it back today from Pn. Ida. So proud :D

You make me

In the mood for some bubble milk tea right now. I could just walk out and get some from Take Away but I won't cause I'm the type of person that doesn't like walking out just to get one thing. I don't think I would even go out to get toilet rolls if I urgently needed it or something. That's what brothers are for.

Did you know I live literally two minutes away from school? I walk. I wake up at 7am every weekday morning (most people I know have to get up at 6? I'm counting my blessings) give or take a few minutes. My mom is my walking alarm clock, you see. I never set my alarm clocks (even though I have 3 in my room, all discarded of their AA batteries) cause most of the time I either forget to switch it on the night before, leading to doom or I don't hear it chirping quietly on the floor where it almost always ends up so after time, I've decided to give up on them entirely.

If you noticed the yummy-nomnomnom smell of food constantly radiating from the cooking room lately, the form3 girls have been baking for the past 2 weeks. Today, it was kek permaisuri with chocolate chips. Everything was going smoothly until the power was cut just as the other girls were about to finish. Good thing Chrystal, Jaryn & I had finished ours way before the rest so we didn't have to go through that. We did however get caught stealing raisins when we thought Pn. Lim wasn't looking.

PS: The Japanese are taking over SriKL tomorrow. I get to miss the entire day of class in the auditorium watching Japanese people bow incessantly.
PPS: Deep in thought about some things tonight.

Is she allowed to say stupid?

Stretching my vanity tonight. Ah yes, Tuesday evenings.
You can see my zit in between my eyebrows in the 9th picture.

3 Gamma 2010

I love how my class photos turned out cause no one's mouth is hanging open (unlike in Form1.) Also, because I look so damn happy in it! Next thing you know you'll be seeing drawn-on laser beams shooting out of my non-existent eyes.

Top from left: Jia Jian, Jeng Jie, Ieuan, Aaron, Anson, Jie Yao, Wei Ming, Naren, Jerry Brandon, Jia Zheng
Middle from left: Hau Sean, Wei Yuen, Sharmila, Amanda, Jesslyn, Stephanie, Mei Ghee, Taufiq, Leon

There you go.

Shit. Less.

I'm supposed to have baked cookies for Alia today as a pre-puasa gift but I don't think that's happening at all given that I've been at Subang Parade for the past five hours wandering around with the family. We actually meant to have reached home sooner but the sky thought it'd mess with our plans with a downpour of rain that lasted nearly two hours. &cause our car was parked across the road, we ended up at Coffee Bean sipping lattes with extra shots of espresso. That's how my dad says lattes should be made, with none of that "milk nonsense". Bumped into Intan at MPH and exchanged hugs and hello's too :)

I forgot to mention about the huge, fat, black guy that scared the shit out of my bricks yesterday. So there I was minding my own business walking with my mom around Sunway eating a Krispy Kreme doughnut when out of nowhere this black figure pops up next to my face with his mouth wide open suggesting I give him a bite. I WAS SO SCARED I WAS SHAKING! My mom just stared at him and eventually he walked away saying sorry but I tell you, I almost dropped the doughnut. Every person that I've told this to has either laughed at me or laughed thinking it was a joke. Nice.

PS: I'd post pictures if I had any :(

Alcohol

I love going shopping with my mom. Stopped by Sunway and got a few things for real cheap. You know how FOS always slashes out the tags? Well, I managed to find a cardigan there from Miss Selfridge (I think) in between the dozens of clothes jammed onto the rack and another H&M t-shirt/dress for RM20 each. Walked out of that smoke-scented store (puzzles me to why it always smells like cigarettes) with a grin all over my face.
I'm here at the dining table at home typing this out feeling oh-so-happy cause I downed a pint of beer from dinner at this new Japanese/German restaurant 20 minutes ago (just got back you see.) My tolerance for alcohol isn't as strong as it should be compared to Nick but I guess I can manage. Was holding back laughter throughout mass at church before so it was a relief to actually be able to laugh without the guilt of God wagging his finger at us disapprovingly. Obviously, it's rude to laugh out loud while mass is being held especially when everyone else is quietly listening to the priest's sermon. Want to know why Nick&I were laughing? Some kid blurted "BAH" in the middle of one of the hymns.
PS: The restaurant is called Kissaten. Very good food. Very good atmosphere. Non-halal. (Click me) for a link to their website if you're interested :)

Thought you might like this

Just finished Skype-ing with Olney and I think I'm in love with Skype now. It doesn't jam up, doesn't go blurry, doesn't slow down my computer, doesn't disconnect all of a sudden (except those couple of times where the wire keeping the laptop alive unplugged itself) and doesn't irritate the shit out of me like how MSN does. I don't want to sound like an advert here but I'm very happy with it.

Today wasn't that bad a day either. Had lunch with Alia after school at Asia Cafe where we finally fulfilled our cravings for Daniel Kim's dad's kimchi fried rice (I definitely recommend it.) Sat with Leon, John, Jie Yao, Jeng Jie & Anson who were such gentlemen (their mothers must have taught them well) & then we got stranded in the magazine store waiting for the massive rain to seise. The plus side is that we found a page in one of the magazines with that guy from the oldspice commercials plastered all over it riding a bull made of soap bubbles with a lasso above his head.

Just a heads up, tomorrow is Hariz's & Shaza's one year anniversary. I'm like this extra talking about someone else's relationship but you can't not say 'aww' when you see them together. He got her sunflowers cause they're her favorite! If there's something I can join to get a sweet boyfriend like that, sign me up! Not that I'm in much of a hurry to get a boyfriend or anything. It was purely hypothetical.
I've been on the computer for way too long now. It's time to switch off. More tomorrow :)

iMovie

Currently tapping away on my dad's old Macbook (which hopefully shall soon be mine if my dad decides to finally get the battery fixed) finishing up my computer project that's due tomorrow (actually it was due today but managed to get Ms. Puva to delay the deadline.) Ok, this time the procrastination is not entirely my fault. I blame my dad for the frustrating 2 hours I spent hurriedly copying&pasting and many MANY 'URGH-why-isn't-it-loading' moments cause he promised the laptop for me to use 2 months ago. If you can guess correctly, he didn't pass it to me till today even after countless weekends with his "next week" promises.

So yes

Did I ever mention I got into O-Levels? No, I don't think so from the fact I haven't been here the past month updating you people about my dos and to-dos. Oh & before I forget, screw that 30day whats-it-called post. You know which one. If not then (click here). I don't think I'm the type who can consistently post stuff against my will just cause a list told me to.
If you didn't happen to notice, I was absent on Monday for reasons involving the bathroom and my bowels. I won't go into detail about it cause it'd be a bit much? I had an ample amount of time on my hands and this is the result of it. A huge box of cornflakes was lying around the house that was due for eating anyway so why not?
Sometimes I think Bingo may be part human. It's quite creepy actually.

MTV WorldStage 2010

Want a vivid image of how period pains feel like? Imagine your uterus squeezed dry like a washcloth. For those who don't have the gift of being a woman, think "salami jammed into a meat grinder" (Exaggeration is delightful isn't it?)

Hello, I'm back from my virtual hiatus. So, so many things have happened (including those that didn't happen) these past 3 weeks. I turned 15, survived the exams, went for WorldStage (more about this below) and so on. I can't make empty promises that long gaps of nothingness like these won't happen again because they most probably will. If there's a God out there (not that I don't believe in God and such but as a not-so-religious sort of person, I have my doubts) he/she/it (never discriminate be it gender or species. It's ok if you don't get this) will you know, bless me somehow?

WorldStage.
Because of it, I have lost my voice (this is more like a pro than a con. I like my voice when I lose it.), my body is sore, I've got a scratch on my shoulder from idon'tevenknow, my eyes hurt like I've squeezed lemon juice into them, my toenails look deformed from being trampled on all night long and from it raining for hours, short-circuiting the technical stuff and us wait for an hour before everything was in its right order, woke up this morning feeling horrible cause I was too tired to take a bath before going to bed (got back around 1.30am) and I am still hungry.
 All worth it.
Not only did we get to see Bill Kaulitz in his orgasmic leather pants but we got to see Katy Perry dancing on a giant banana-split, sang our hearts out to (almost) every song, piggy back rides over the poodles of water from Olney, jumping up and down till we got stitches in our sides when a song we knew came on, bumping into friends, struggling into useless raincoats/ponchos & laughing about it, running through the rain to get to the surf beach, bargaining with random strangers for last-minute tickets, dying of laughter at stupid candid photos (most of which were deleted), passing phones here and there when my phone just wouldn't cooperate, watching strange guys head-banging to Bunkface like a bunch of puppies with seizures, fat guys screaming like little girls when the Wondergirls came on, making Olney self-conscious over his body (which by the way was very the nice), hugging Shu Lynn's head, hugging Jaryn's head, death-screaming into Tim's ears and being around awesome people at an awesome event on an awesome day. Perfect way to end the month :)
 Group shot!
