Happy almost new year!

I currently have 6 glasses of wine, champagne, beer (I don't know) under my belt. Just thought I'd drop by to wish everyone a Happy Almost & New Year! So far I don't think I've completely gone over to the dark side or succumbed to the everlasting effects of alcohol (all 12% of it) cause I can make out what I'm typing here. Everything is slightly a bit dazzling through my pair of vision-balls (it's ok, you don't have to laugh at that.) Rosy cheeks are on full blast, feet are starting to take a mind of its own under the table and the crooked, goofy smiles have body-slammed itself onto my face. When my dad poured the first glass of wine halfway through dinner out in the patio, compulsion made me reach out to take one big gulp. Well, I mustn't be that tipsy tonight then if I can blog in full sentences like these. No. I'm not. Just really happy now :)

Infact, I won't even regret posting this by tomorrow. Unlike those tipsy-tweets I did during the Raya celebration at my dad's office. It was embarrassing reading them the day after.

PS: Happy New Year. Have a great countdown :D
PPS: Heading up to Ipoh tomorrow. Visiting granddaddy & some other relatives.
PPPS: Got to start on my New Year's Resolutions soon. How about you?

Hey! It's been a while. So Shanghai was THE shit. Practically 3 degrees everyday, got to see snow, shopping, walking, being foreigners (just me actually. I don't do Chinese.) drinking Chinese beer, 5000 Starbucks Vanilla Lattes a day and Kiko the dog.

It's late. I don't know how I'll thoroughly elaborate two weeks.

Envious

How's it going?
I'm leaving for Shanghai tonight. My bags are packed and I'm all set to go. Two weeks. I've never been away from home for two whole weeks before. My uncle has got wifi at his place so I won't be completely wiped off the face of the Earth. MAS had better have some good movies on the plane to keep me busy. Why does this feel so empty? I was way more hyped up about Italy than I am about China. I'm very not fond of Chinese-based countries.

You know those songs that no matter how many times you listen to them they still make you feel good? Here In Your Arms by Hellogoodbye :) It makes me feel yum all over every. single. time.

PS: Pfft. Singapore. That's right. I'm talking to YOU.
PPS: Go watch WendyMccolm's videos on youtube (click the link.) They're shitbrick funny. Credits to Sheena :)

Midnight Flight

Grandma's birthday dinner yesterday.
That little boy. He's my nephew. My cousin's 2 year old kid. That's his mom in the picture. He's such a spoilt little brat. Hit me in the head with a feather duster & when told to apologize he said "No way." Why are the evil ones always so cute?

Anyway, I'm going to Shanghai tomorrow. My flight is at 1.40 am. I'll get back on the 28th so that makes it two whole weeks in a land where no one speaks English.

PS: Aww :)

Countless

I like going out to watch movies with friends :)

Met up with Grace, Alia & Sheena today at Sunway. Princess and the Frog & Love Happens. Both were pretty good. Of course, we tried to sneak in to watch New Moon (cause all the tickets were sold out) but the room it was playing in was on the complete opposite side of the cinema. You know, the ones on the left. We had to find that out the hard way by opening every door, listening if we could hear any 'Bellas' or 'Edwards'. You have to watch Princess and the Frog though. It's going to be one of those Disney Classics for sure.

I'll be going to Ipoh tomorrow to visit my grandpa and to eat good food. We're staying over at the same hotel with the bigass temple outside. Yippee. I'll be back on Saturday but then it's off to Kepong for my grandma's birthday dinner. What a busy, busy weekend I have in store.

PS: I feel happy today :)
Cause I got to wear the skirt from Italy. That's all. I am pleased.

I like.
PPS: Rempits piss me off.

Sleepyhead; Passion Pit

And you said
It was like fire around the brim
Burning solid,
Burning thin the burning rim
Like stars burning holes right through the dark
You gave fire like saltwater into my eyes
You were an inch from the edge of this bed
I drive you back a sleepyhead, sleepyhead

They couldn't think of something to say the day you burst
With all their lions and all their might and all their thirst
They crowd your bedroom like some thoughts wearing thin
Against the walls, against your rules, against your skin
My beard grew down to the floor and out through the doors
Of your eyes, begonia skies like a sleepyhead, sleepyhead

Go ahead

Go listen to Passion Pit. Their music is :D

Taken yesterday

Today,

I withdrew money from the bank to repay my mom for the iTouch. It's time to start saving up for another rainy day :)

PS: If I ever misplace my dog, I'll know how to find him with these pictures.

Austin Powers

Motivation. I love motivation. This holiday has been filled with it. While I'm reading about what other people are doing during their holidays, which is all exactly like this: I'm so bored blah-blah-blah. I miss my friends blah-blah-blah. You know who you are. I'll be smiling to myself, laughing the evil witch doctor laugh & thinking ha.ha. i laugh at you. If you miss your friends, GO SEE THEM. If you're bored, DO SOMETHING OTHER THAN TELLING THE WORLD ABOUT IT. If you're reading this and have this bomb of an epiphany smack your brain into its proper place, GOOD.

Yez, if I think you unmotivated ones are so dull then why do I continue to read about you? No friggin' idea. You know how curiosity killed the cat? I'm not a cat. I don't Miao. I don't run away from dogs. I don't eat cat food or play with furry balls dangling above me. (HAHA!)
&
Privatizing your blogs? Really? You got something to hide from the Universe? That's a big nono. The Universe doesn't like it when you keep secrets from them. I speak on behalf of it. Don't listen to me about that though. I'm a hypocrite.

PS: 15 days till Christmas :)
PPS: I missed my 1 year anniversary for the blog (3rd Dec.) It's been one heck of a year. Words-wise, I've grown.

Argumentation

I almost forgot to post this. Pedicure with my mummy last Friday :)

Looked up stuff on the net about psychiatry, psychology, stuff to do in Shanghai and Saturday Night Live. This is why I love Google.

Samuel. One crazy mofo.

Sun Day :D

I love not having to get up at 8 am anymore on Sundays. The late night at Grace's on Friday got me cranky yesterday. Managed to sleep from 9 till past 10 this morning. Then came a sucky brunch at Dome in Subang Parade. My goodness, the pancakes there are gross. All soggy and crappy with canned, sour raspberries soaked in artificial coloring.

Grace's house is HUGE. She gave me a tour of the house and I was looking around gasping and staring in awe. She's got a pool table up on the top floor. When everyone got there, we went swimming (little brother in tow) at the club nearby. Hohoho, we got to see some yummies by the pool (with their girlfriends.)
"Nice to see, nice to hold. I don't want it."

Things got messy though. Samuel got mad and took out his stick of doom to try and hit us. We ran of course (what else do you do when someone is about to go after you with a stick?) Ran like hell actually. Ran with drenched clothes and bags. All because Dan laughed when she saw him with the stick which made him even madder. I tell you, I'll never get that image of him going insane out of my head.

The rest of the night went fine. As how all girly sleepovers do. Baking better-than-boys cupcakes & making blue jelly that looked oddly like guys' little swimmers. Eating apple slices with peanut butter. Falling in love with Budder (Grace's dog.) Webcaming Jaryn & Olney. We got to ask Olney some pretty personal questions which I dare not mention here. They left me giggling like nonsense, rolling around the bed.

 PS: Sheena, I miss you!
PPS: This is the first time where every one of us is in my post. Like, woah :)

Pescatarian

Ever wondered what pescatarian means?
I got this from Urban Dictionary.

1. Someone who abstains from eating meat and poultry but eats fish.
In other words: A vegetarian that eats fish.
Many people don't believe pescatarians have a right to say they're vegetarian because fishes are animals and animals have flesh. And if you eat flash you are not a vegetarian

Person A: I don't eat meat.
Person B: You don't?! What about fish and chicken?
Person A: Well, I do eat fish.
Person B: But fish is meat! So you eat meat.
Person A: No I don't eat meat, I just eat fish!

2. A vegetarian who also eats fish or other seafood. From the Latin word for fish: Pisces. Also known as a fishetarian.
"I'm going pescatarian, since I really like lobster and it's so hard to find protein in vegetables."

3. Person who is vegetarian BUT ALSO EATS FISH.

"I am a pescatarian because I DO NOT EAT MEAT BUT I DO EAT FISH."

4. Hemp shoe wearing, hairy (including the women) unwashed gobshite that's bangs on about how cruel eating meat is but will still eat fish ! have you ever looked a fish in the eye ? it's a creature too fuck wit !
"I used to be a veggie but I've become a pescatarian since my nails started cracking, my skin turned grey & boyfriend wouldn't muff me cause I fart all day!"

I may try it out some time. Maybe. It shouldn't be too hard.

Jerry Lim is my friend

Good morning sunshine :D
I feel peppy today. Like WOAH!
Let's go eat siew yok!

Oink. oink.
Olney you suck. Have a nice flight!

Fun time with nuns

Dan, Alia & Olney came over today to watch a couple of movies. Paranormal Avtivity (not a good movie) Friday the 13th, Final Destination 4 & Step Brothers. Since Olney is leaving in the morning for UK so what the heck right? All four of us squished on my bed painting the lucky guy's nails and taking pictures of him when he fell asleep. We went out to get some movies to watch and all the college girls were giving him double-takes.

Whippy

I feel so productive today.
I woke up at 9 in the morning with only 5 hours of sleep on my belt.
I cleaned out all the crap from my room. Top to bottom. Two trash bags filled to the rim.
It took me 5 hours. 5 long hours of going up and down, taking things out and putting them back, finding dead mosquitoes in my drawers & inhaling shit loads of dust then sneezing.
I sorted out all my old, new, unused books for school.
I ate lunch.
I watched Stan Helsing.
Then I turned over my dad's bed in his room. (Don't ask.)
I went out to the bank with my mom for an errand.
I repainted my nails the same three colors on the same three fingers.
& I uploaded the Italy pictures to Facebook.

That's a lot compared to what I'd usually do. Which is nothing.

Say hello to The Cafe Kids. Danielle has gotten me into them for now. Go Go Go!The Cafe Kids

A first look

Buon giorno! (Hello)

I'm back from Italia! From the blistering cold & pizzapastaforeverymeal. From the pretty italians & 1000 year old buildings. I'm back! Reached home yesterday at around 4 and konged out from 8 till noon today. That's a full 16 hours of sleep only because the time difference between here and there is 7 hours, a 13 hour flight with a 3 hour transit in Dubai and walking all over with 3 layers of clothing on. Right now, I'm just glad to be able to do nothing. To sit down for more that 3 hours without having to catch a train, bus, taxi or plane. To channel my inner potato.

Italy people are pretty nice. Of course we did meet with the occasional rude one but they're pretty friendly. If you ask them for directions they'll try to help you even if they didn't speak English.
Shopping was even better than the traveling. All in we spent about idontknow cause my mom wouldn't tell me. There was a Gucci store literally right outside our hotel. I like shopping there. I like shopping there a lot. If it wasn't for the exchange rate we would have bought more. Boo ringgit.

On our last night in Venice, Nick and I heard some sounds from the room next to ours. Strange sounds. Odd sounds. People were doing it. How sure were we? Whatever was behind that wall was thumping against it. All we could do was laugh it off.

I cant possibly upload all the pictures here. That would take 5 million years. Just look it up on Facebook if you'd like :)

Mary Christmas

I'm wigging out people. My flight is at 2 in the morning. That's about 10 hours from now. I don't know what I'm going to do for the rest of the day. Sitting around just makes me want to get up and standing makes me want to sit down. I can't go outside cause it's raining, there's no more junk food in the house, I've charged everything there is to charge, nothing good is on tv and I'm saving all my sweets for the plane. Right now, the only thing saving me from utter desperation is talking to people online. Just thinking that in 24 hours I'll be in ROME is beyond the beyond. I'm going to be away till next Friday so I trust that you people will remember me.

One of those feel-good candids taken yesterday with Shun Zhe's camera.
"This would make a great picture for the school brochure if there weren't any cards, nail polish and iTouches in there."
I'm sorry. Can't remember who said that but to whoever you were, that was awesome.

Digital

Guess what my teachers thought was the best way to spend the last day of school. Cleaning up the Art Room. Buggering shitcakes, I didn't enjoy it. Jaryn & I stayed for one period (after I lost at a 5/7 game of rock, paper, scissors) but we missed the next two.

Grace taught all of us a new card game called 'The Coin Game'. I don't know how to explain it to ya'll here though. Too bad. But you should know that it's a pretty freaking awesome game. So awesome that we went at it for an hour and some. We even got Nigel to join us.

The rest of the day went on like this:
Running away from teachers & hiding in classrooms.

Playing TapTapRevenge on lots of iTouches.
Scrabble & Speed in 4 Sigma.
Taking some final class photos in 2 Delta.
Dumping out the rubbish from the locker.

"So Kilgore Trout hada depressing childhood, despite all of the sunshine and fresh air. The pessimism that overwhelmed him in later life, which destroyed his three marriages, which drove his only son, Leo, from home at the age of fourteen, very likely had its roots in the bittersweet mulch of rotting Erns."

Madly in

Talentime was not great. The first half was fine; with everyone hyped up, but the second half got boring. No one was paying attention to what was going on & when Mr. Ching went up to sing some Japanese song, it got worse. Not that I was listening anyway.

ITALY in two days.

Wo Bu Zhi Dao

Today, I must say, was pretty freaking awesome. Jaryn, Dan & I missed two periods after break to sit around with Ashwin, Chun Fai, Eddie & Athir at the futsal court. Our excuse: I can't remember. There was a cricket match going on and John's little brother, James was playing. He's like a carbon copy of John. Jaryn told me before that they looked alike but I thought she was just exaggerating it.

After that Alia, Jaryn & I wasted the last three periods of school in the canteen with the same few people again. Alia made me dance with her to Chun Fai's iPod while Pn Nurul was watching us giving that disapproving shake of the head. I really liked Soulja Boy even though it made us look like douches. Happy douches no doubt.

In the morning, the whole bunch of us got caught for having long, painted nails. I stood there chopping off my hard earned nails. Then the teacher in charge told us to pick up our clipping so the little kiddies won't go picking them up. Nasty.

PS: Thanks to Athir, I can't stop listening to Boston by Augustana.
PPS: Talentime tomorrow. Good luck :)

Counterfeit

I am just one single weed
Amongst many roses standing tall

Each one has a dozen needs

I wish I were a different seed

Perhaps then I wouldn’t feel so small

Pisk

(this morning in my brother's room.)

I absolutely love 100yen stores. One just opened next to PappaRich and the CC nearby. The stuff there are so awesome. & they even have miniature whisks the size of my middle finger. My mom got one of their snowcones to try and it's like eating clouds. The best thing is that everything there is either Rm4.90 or Rm5.90. No more, no less. We got home with a whole bag of trinkets and bobbles, sweets and markers.PS: Guess who I saw at the MPH book fair. RIZKI!

Oldies

I feel rutty.

"There is no time for cut-and-dried monotony. There is time for work. And time for love. That leaves no other time!"

Today;
I feel a little wrinkled in the thinking department. Like ringed-out washcloths.

There's something wrong with Shu Lynn

Today was awesome with a capital A. Not only did I get to miss class for the whole day, but I got to miss it with my favorite people in the world. Leo had a Car Wash today organized by Riena. I think it's cool that she managed to plan everything out so well. She's the mastermind of the plot. Washing cars is a heck load of fun. Wet T-shirts, throwing soapy sponges, whipping each other with wet towels, getting paid to shut up for making too much noise & running around the car park trying to find the teachers' cars. Of course, everything started out slow with everyone recovering from an early morning but it reached momentum. Freaking funny shit.
Movie marathon at my house with Grace's pirated DVDs after school. Jennifer's Body, The Orphan and The Ugly Truth. All of us were screaming our brains out throughout The Orphan. Right now I'm still trying not to look behind me each time I turn a corner in the house & I may have lost my voice from the AGHH-ing. The gory scenes were so heart-stopping that all of us were rolling around curdling up in the corner of the sofa. Especially during the last part on the ice, you know? Jennifer's Body was O.K. No doubt Megan Fox was *ahem* and Redza was about to jizz in his pants from the girl-on-girl stuff that happened but it was all so expected, illogical & stupid-high-school-horror.

Try to imagine today with 8 people on 3 decently sized sofas, covered in pillows, practically lying on each other, watching a scary movie, screaming & laughing. I think I'll be bunking in my brother's room tonight. How about you guys?

PS: Darthanian!
PPS: Redza payed for the pizza.
