Tumblr?

I just made a Tumblr account literally 20 minutes ago.

Hello mudder

My mom likes to log on to my Facebook account to send herself gifts on Fishville, then she gets really happy about it. Yes, it's beyond Lame with a capital L but she's a mom and that's how they roll. They're there to do embarrassingly strange things that make you wonder how could I have possibly been formed from that?
Brunch at Canton-i in Sunday today. Going down the escalator from the carpark, I saw this Chinese girl with blonde hair, 5000 inch heels, a skirt the length of my foot, 2000 marbles hanging from her ears, a cake of makeup on her face and she walked like a newborn baby deer. It was like watching someone on stilts. Every step was followed by a slightly noticeable wobble & the boyfriend kept taking pictures of her. What makes anyone in their right mind think that dressing like that is flattering? If I smacked her, she'd die on the spot (cause she was like Bambi) but her boyfriend would have pushed me down the elevator shaft.

aeiou.

Busy busy busy. Okay not really. Blue house had the 2nd cheer audition today. All the nerves were set on high the entire day even though they kept telling us to chill and that it was supposed to be fun. Well, they don't have to be up against 30 other people to get a spot in the team. My legs are sore from all the jumps. It was an endless continuum of 5,6,7,8 JUMP LAND SMILE ENERGY KEEP SMILING POP PUMP SHAKE SMILE. That's a lot of smiling to do. Now all we do is wait until they tell us who's in and who's out.
Yesterday, we went to visit my grandad at the nursing home. It's quite a pleasant place if you minus the fact that it has that faint smell of urine in the air. Other than that, it seems like a pretty typical old folks home. Folk from the ages of 60 to 80+. My grandad is 72 so he fits in just fine except that he has cancer and all. His vocals are slurred, his eyes are graying, he can barely recognize us and his limbs are reduced to the size of toothpicks. He's starting to eat but not much. The only form of food that he doesn't object to inducing is the milk we bought for him. It's sort of like a meal replacement. It doesn't do much but it provides the amount of nutrients he needs. He may be sick but he's a chain-smoker at heart so he even dared to ask if he could have a smoke. My dad laughed then said "No."

My parents are in Ipoh again. They might be sending my granddad to a nursing home for better care.

Heroes on the couch

(My dinner last night. Supposed to be a teletubby.)

Blue house training today in school. Warm-ups, running & suicidals. Dan & I wanted to reward ourselves with bubble tea but the store wasn't open yet. So we thought we'd get a slushie instead at 7-11 but the machine rosak. FML.

Starstrukk

Lady Gaga's Starstrukk keeps replaying over and over in my head. It's been a very tiring day indeed. Cheerleading tryouts were held today after school. Dan & I went to audition. Farah (cheer captain) taught everyone that came a few moves, how to jump, how to count, how to base, how to fly, the basics of cheerleading. It took A WHILE to get used to cause if you know me then you know I'm not famous for my extraordinary coordination. I'm not even trying to be modest.

2 and a 1/2 hours of all that in the afternoon heat gets people really tired. I'm sure it wasn't the attitude they were expecting especially since a lot of people had to ciao so there were only around 15 people left by 3pm. For those who stayed had a leg up from the rest cause we got to go through the steps for the next practice on Wednesday.

On top of all that, there's class decorations, homework (which I'm happy to admit that I've finished) sleep & CNY coming up. 2010 has so far been THE most productive year ever.

Pew pew

Got this when I was in China. How could I possibly resist?

Sports season has begun and today is its baby. Yellow & Blue were at the SS15 field. All the damp soil & mud from the on-off drizzles got the bottom of my shoes coated in yuck. Dan & I managed to duck out of sprinting to walkrunjog around the field. Not only did everyone shine in the sunlight during the walk back to school, but the stench followed. Jie Yao smelt the worst.

Every period was cut to 30 minutes and I'm grateful for that cause 2 whole periods of KH is beyond boring. Not so happy about PE being cut short cause we were only left with 15 minutes? of volleyballing (epic fail, i tell you.) because everyone was taking their own sweet time to line up in the courtyard.

My mum is out buying dinner cause she doesn't feel like cooking and my maid just left this morning to go back to Philippines forever. Lovely.

PS: I'm going for blue house cheer leading auditions tomorrow after school. I never thought I'd ever be able to say that but now I can :)

My little fishcake

The very usual lazy Sunday but on this particular Sunday, as in today's Sunday it's RyanYee's birthday. Happy Birthday :)

(me, dog & lady giving him a treat.)

A very usual Sunday afternoon too but today it involved puppies. The lady that sold Copper to us gave my mom a call this morning telling her that she had a 3 month old male beagle and asked if we were interested. We went to her house to look at the puppy and it gave all three of us that nostalgic feeling cause he looks almost exactly like Copper. We only took the photo to show my dad when he gets back but here it is. My fingers still have that puppy smell no matter how much I scrub them. I don't know if we'll get it. There's a worry at the back of my head saying "What if this one gets seizures too and dies?"

It's my dog's birthday

1. The dog is wearing a cone cause his feet bleed every time he licks them. So each time he tries to do something which involves him touching the floor with his face, he chokes himself & it's VERY funny when he gets stuck under the coffee table in the living room cause the top of the cone gets hooked onto the table.

2. My blood test from Thursday in the Science lab. According to this little card, I'm AB+ even though the blood test I got at SJMC stated that I was A+. Jaryn & I were Mr Ching's nurses for the day so we got to squeeze out drops of blood from everyone's fingertips. It left my finger numb for about a minute after my turn. I took the picture 5 minutes ago and what's left on it are the little specs of scab-like blots caused by the reaction from the chemicals on the card when my blood touched it. Oh yes, science.

Gleek

Hey :)
How was your week?
 Mine was great.

Dan, Alia & Sheena came over after school to watch Glee. Alia went home before we started but she's worth mentioning. I've got Glee wrapped up around my head now. Sheena lent me the CD for the weekend and I just spent the last 4 hours watching it only getting up to pee once. Each time the cast starts singing, I get goosebumps all over saying "Hello." Before, I thought What's the big deal about Glee? but now it's official, I'm a Gleek. I die all over when someone sings especially cause I'm downstairs in the living room watching it alone.

My dad's in China again for a business trip so Nick, my mom & I have the whole weekend to ourselves. Our maid is going back to the Philippines on the 21st after 14 years of working for us. People even used to think she was my grandma until I grew a head taller than her. (She's really short.) (and turning 53 this year.) It's about time anyway.

Cancer

My grandad was diagnosed with the 4th stage of lung cancer yesterday. The doctor told my parents that he was going to die and that they couldn't help him.

D:

I watched 'How To Be' today. It wasn't the best movie ever but it wasn't the worst. Actually, it was funny yet really sad at the same time. Robert Pattinson is in it. He plays this really pathetic person who doesn't know what he's supposed to do (he called it a quarter-life crisis) so he gets some help from this specialist from Canada who comes to stay with him in his home to try to help him out. It's an awkward movie with awkward people and awkward happenings.

PS: My parents went to Ipoh again. My grandad might have lung cancer now.
PPS: I might get to miss the first day of Sunday school tomorrow cause of the mayhem with burning down churches and stuff.

Emo french fries

Hello :)

Third day of school down. I've been drawing horses on manila boards for the past hour. My back hurts from slouching on the floor with my face an inch from the paper. My hands are covered in old paper dust and there's sticky tack all over the wall next to the stairs. Why am I drawing (of all things) horses? Class deco.
Nick & I went straight after school to go get the supplies from the bookstore nearby. The uncle let me have it cheaper cause he's my friend :) This year we're actually going to take an effort to do something to the class (or not Ms Boey gonna get pissed.)

So far so good anyway. I don't mind my teachers this year. Lots and lots of people are wearing the new uniform. They look like emo french fries. You know, those cold, soggy ones at the bottom of the box? I like the crispy ones. The only problem with this year is that they separated half of the form3 classes to go for senior break cause there's 'too many students'. I wouldn't mind but Dan & Alia are in Omega so they go for senior while the rest of us go for junior. I don't know. We'll see what happens.

What's The Story Morning Glory?

I've been away for a couple of days in Ipoh. Let me bring you up to date. My uncle (dad's cousin) passed away a few hours after New Year's. Apparently, he was drunk, crashed his motorbike into one of those huge drains, cracked his skull on the cement wall and was found by someone that passed by. We went for the wake yesterday (which btw is a Buddhist prayer thing held at night if you didn't happen to know.) My grandad is in the hospital recovering from surgery on his head to drain out some fluid from his brain after a nasty fall in his bathroom. He had to go for an MRI to check what was up there and what we found was that he has a 1inchx1inchx1inch tumor right smack in the middle. So, right now we've got three choices; leave him be to see if the lump grows, put something into his head to test if the lump is cancerous or go for a full surgery to completely remove the lump. Why don't we just remove the bloody thing? That's cause he's not a young man anymore. He's pushing 70, his body might not be able to take a big surgery like that and the lump is dangerously close to his nervous system which could possibly turn him into a vegetable if something were to go wrong. If we just leave him as he is his verbal and physical movement will be messed up cause the lump is pushing against a part of his brain. Right now he's living off a drip cause he hasn't been eating (or bathing) for the past 6 weeks or so and his body is as if he has suffered from famine.

Of course not forgetting to mention,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JARYN :)

PS: School starts tomorrow. Finally!
