aeiou.

Busy busy busy. Okay not really. Blue house had the 2nd cheer audition today. All the nerves were set on high the entire day even though they kept telling us to chill and that it was supposed to be fun. Well, they don't have to be up against 30 other people to get a spot in the team. My legs are sore from all the jumps. It was an endless continuum of 5,6,7,8 JUMP LAND SMILE ENERGY KEEP SMILING POP PUMP SHAKE SMILE. That's a lot of smiling to do. Now all we do is wait until they tell us who's in and who's out.
Yesterday, we went to visit my grandad at the nursing home. It's quite a pleasant place if you minus the fact that it has that faint smell of urine in the air. Other than that, it seems like a pretty typical old folks home. Folk from the ages of 60 to 80+. My grandad is 72 so he fits in just fine except that he has cancer and all. His vocals are slurred, his eyes are graying, he can barely recognize us and his limbs are reduced to the size of toothpicks. He's starting to eat but not much. The only form of food that he doesn't object to inducing is the milk we bought for him. It's sort of like a meal replacement. It doesn't do much but it provides the amount of nutrients he needs. He may be sick but he's a chain-smoker at heart so he even dared to ask if he could have a smoke. My dad laughed then said "No."
