It's a Stage

Yesterday? Oh god. Yesterday was EPIC. I loved it. Except for the part where people started pushing, shoving, not being able to breath in the squeeze of humans, body slamming against sweaty fat guys, trapped under a thin sheet of plastic that they expected us to use as a raincoat, losing my phone, being screamed in the ear by some crazed fan, (I'm guilty of that too.) having to be carried out over the barricades by a guard just to escape the sea of people (15000 over people showed up.) & sweating like a really sweaty thing. Other than that, it was completely awesome :)

Alia picked me up after 12 and we saw Mr Chew driving in his car! We met up with Sheena, Danielle & Yoke Shan for lunch at Tokyo G. This guy (I think he was the manager.) in a too-tight t-shirt kept coming to our table to ask us about our meals & trying to make conversation. It was unnecessary. Phillipe showed up after a bit. Sushi is expensive.

After collecting our tickets, we had to sit under the hot hot HOT sun, on bricks of fire with a few umbrellas & our bare backs to the sunlight waiting in line for the gates to open to get into the Lagoon. So toasty. It was about an hour or more before it opened & all of us ran (yes, the real deal of sprinting past 20 people at a time down the escalator.) to the Surf Beach just to get a spot up front.Hehehaha, hi Intan.

When we got up front, it was another 2 hours before the thing even started so we had to stand-sit-squat there for under the sun & rain. The smell of boys is not sweet. There were these three guys in front of us (blocking our view.) who were pouring with sweat. At first, I didn't notice the smell. They smelled like boy. Next time I smelt them (I only smelt them to check.) it was like phwoar! The odor of bodies.Estranged performed first. Not as bad as we thought. I guess we kind of degraded them cause they were local.
Next came BOYS LIKE GIRLS.
All of us sang along word-for-word to every song. It was THE best rendition of Thunder ever! Must have been the 15000 back-up singers in the pool.
I took a random snap behind me to see how many people were already there. That's not even a fraction of the number of people that turned up. If I wanted a clear shot of everyone there, I'd have needed a helicopter.
Martin climbed on the beams for the last song.
I like Raygun, they're not so bad. They sound kind of Country to me though.
Pixie Lott performed after Raygun. I didn't get any pictures of her. We were too far away from the stage and I am shorter than foreigners.
During the Hoobastank performance all of us couldn't stand the heat & smoke (there were chain smokers EVERYWHERE.) so we went to the back of the back where there was this huge screen showing the performance. Beside the screen hung two lights that Dan&Sheena told me were called the loser lights. They'd start blinking at random any time just so the people at the back could experience some of the action up front. It was miserable but all of us could just sit there to catch up with all that happened cause at one time, Alia&I lost Dan&Sheena. & Vice versa.

Butbutbut, when they started to play The Reason we ran up towards the crowd to join music.

The All-American Rejects came after Hoobastank.
I wanna I wanna I wanna touch you, You wanna touch me too.
Their last song was THE song of the night. Everyone there sang along.

& Tyson was covered in glitter!Kasabian ended the entire concert.
Oh dear, Kasabian. I love Kasabian! In the beginning it was "Kasabian who?" Now I can't get enough of them.

I remember, there were this group of boys infront of us during the performance. One of them climbed up onto his buddy's shoulders but next thing we knew, he was on the ground and there was a ruler-length rip in the back of his jeans. We laughed. He was embarassed. It was funny :)
The amount of raincoats, fans, empty bottles & cans left after the everything ended is breathtaking.
Today? I went to Ipoh to look at my grandfather, eat the best noodles in the world & see two dogs getting it on in someone's house. My little cousins were there to witness it too cause we stopped my the roadside to eat some mah chit. The stall is run by this old couple outside their house and they own two rottweilers. All of us children laughed in the car all the way back to my grandpa's house.

We bought some free chicken before going home. The free chicken is this prank my dad&I came up with. Last year, my mom went out somewhere while we were in Ipoh to go get some egg tarts. My dad&I swung by to this shop where they sell salted chicken. When my mom got back she asked us where we got it from. "It was free. This lady just came up to the car and gave it to us." She fell for it.

School re-opens tomorrow. I'm not too excited about it but whatever, holidays start the week after that anyway :) Goodnight.
